What is Outsider?


  • Outsider is a 3 day, low impact, community focused, dance music festival. Outsider 2026 features a high calibre cast of local and international artists.

Who is involved in the organisation Outsider?


  • Outsider is an ongoing project that is curated and managed by members of the Sydney based collective Headnoiz.

When will Outsider 2026 take place?


  • Outsider will once again take place over the Easter long weekend, from April 3rd to 6th 2026.
  • Music programming times vary each day. The exact schedule will be provided to all attendees before the festival begins.
  • Ample time will be allowed on all 3 days of the festival to allow for rest and recovery for attendees and staff.

Where will Outsider take place?


  • Exact location will be made available to ticket holders in the week leading up to the event.
  • 2 hours from Sydney CBD.


Where can I buy tickets?


  • Tickets will be available on this site to purchase at 12pm Wednesday 14 of January AEDT.

TRAVEL


What is the best way to get to and from Outsider?


  • Independent travel to and from the site is essential for all ticket holders.
  • We recommend carpooling with a few friends and only packing essential camping equipment. Make sure you organise well in advance which of the members of your car will be driving and set aside enough time to arrive onsite before the gates close.

Will I need a car pass?


  • If you are arriving by car you will need to purchase a car pass as well as your festival ticket.
  • 1 car pass is required per vehicle
  • The car pass encourages attendees to carpool which helps minimise our impact on site. The car pass will also help effectively layout the campgrounds with a priority on safety. This is available through our Resident Advisor event page accessible through the ‘tickets’ link on this website.

When can I arrive at the site?


  • Gate opening times to be finalised.

Will there be a bus organised for Outsider 2026?

  • No, there will be no coach organised by us.
  • If you want to attend Outsider but can’t find a way to get there please email us at info@outsiderfestival.au and we will try our best to find a car pooling option for you. 

FACILITIES


Food & Drink

  • A food vendour will operate across all 3 days of programming. 
  • Various vegan and vegetarian options available.
  • There will be free drinking water for all attendees at multiple locations throughout the site. Please bring re-usable bottles.
  • We still advise you to bring some of your own food for the weekend and not rely entirely on the vendor for the duration of the event.
  • This event is entirely BYO alcohol.
  • Glass containers are not permitted on the festival site.
  • Bags of ice will be available to purchase.

Bathrooms


  • There will be portable bathrooms on site for all guests.
  • There are no shower facilities at Outsider.

Payment Options


  • You will be able to pay using debit card or cash. We advise you to bring a physical debit card as there will be no publicly available service or wifi on site.
